Cooling System Tune-Up
The tune-up includes a 25-point inspection the following:
1: Visually inspect and test capacitors for leakage and rust
2: Inspect readily accessible ducts for obvious air leaks
3: Complete operations sequence check
4: Check crankcase heater for proper operation
5: Inspection of air filtration system
6: Inspect blower wheel
7: Inspect blower motor and record amp draw (lubricate as needed)
8: Replacement of filter provided by the customer while onsite at the time of inspection
9: Inspect unit high voltage wiring and electrical service disconnect switch
10: Check and calibrate thermostat (if needed)
11: Inspect evaporator drain pan (if accessible)
12: Inspect condensate lines and check condensate pump operation (if equipped)
13: Lubricate furnace/air handler blower motor
14: Tighten screw lug terminals in the condensing unit
15: Inspect low voltage wiring and connections at the outdoor condenser
16: Inspect contacter for pitted and/or burnt points
17: Inspect fan blade for cracks or defects
18: Check condenser fan motor bearings and lubricate motor (if equipped)
19: Check and record the amp draw of the condenser fan motor and compressor
20: Inspect and clean the outdoor condenser cabinet
21: Inspect the cooling system for unusual vibration or loose parts
22: Check the evaporator coil for adequate airflow (does not include cleaning of the coil)
23: Test and adjust the system for peak operating efficiency
24: Check the refrigerant levels (when outside temp. is greater than 60 degrees)
25: Check and record the operating pressures and temperatures
